PercOrch 2014Formed in 2000, PercOrchestra is a trio comprised of the core percussion section of the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra.  The group performs a wide range of literature including contemporary marimba ensembles, percussion ensembles, ragtime, and world music.  Our engagements have included educational performances for students in grades K-12, community concerts, special events, recitals and workshops.  Members of PercOrchestra are: Mark Brown, Kristofer Olsen, Stephen Versaevel and Jeff Vick. The Rosewood Duo was founded in 2024. Drawing from a rich chamber music repertoire, the Rosewood Duo presents an eclectic mixture of music ranging from Romantic to Contemporary, and utilizing numerous melodic and non-melodic sounds. Instruments include Oboe, English horn, Marimba, Vibraphone, and numerous other percussion.

Established in 1968, the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir is an outgrowth of the earlier Montana State University Symphony Orchestra.  The mission of the Bozeman Symphony Society is to support the performance of symphonic and choral music by a resident orchestra and choir, and selected guest artists, for the benefit of audiences, students and musicians residing in south-central Montana.

Since 1979, Opera Montana (formerly Intermountain Opera Bozeman) has produced one opera each spring; since 2005 an additional fall production, and a winter musical since 2015. Opera Montana continues to grow and attract opera goers not only from Bozeman but throughout Montana and from neighboring states. An increasing number of volunteers and supporters aid the Association each year. The 2024-2025 season includes: PIAZZOLLA: Maria de Buenos Aries, November 8-10; SONDHEIM: Sweeney Todd, January 30 – February 9; HUMPERDINCK: Hansel & Gretel, May 8-11.

The Montana Ballet Company is a non-profit group promoting dance in Montana, creating opportunities for amateur dancers to participate in quality performances, and providing quality dance training through master classes and workshops. Since 1993, annual productions of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker has been accompanied by a live orchestra comprised of members of the Bozeman Symphony.

Founded in 1955, the Helena Symphony Orchestra & Chorale is a 75-member regional professional orchestra and 100-voice symphonic chorus in Helena, Montana. The Symphony performs several concert series each Season, including the Masterworks Concert Series (subscription concerts), Non-Series Concerts, and Education Concerts. Highlights of the concert series include several Symphony Kids concerts, free concerts created for 5-10 year olds including narration, actors, and members of the Helena Symphony Orchestra & Chorale; the Christmas in the Cathedral, Helena’s greatest and longest holiday tradition; and the Symphony Under the Stars, a free, outdoor summer performance at Carroll College that attracts over 16,000 people.
